Is a sports-inspired
cardio workout that’s all about improving your speed, fitness,
strength and agility. This high-energy interval training class
combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization
exercises.
Is a combination of
Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates that builds flexibility and strength and
leaves you feeling centered and calm.
Is the empowering cardio
workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic
program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of
disciplines such as Karate, Boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi and Muay
Thai.
This 60-minute addictive
workout challenges all of your major muscle groups by using the
best weight-room exercises such as squats, presses, lifts and
curls.
Is the energizing step
workout that makes you feel liberated and alive. It uses a
height-adjustable step and simple movements on, over and around the
step. This class can turn anyone’s jelly legs into thighs of
steel!
Generic
Classes
Targets the largest growing
segment of the population: The Baby Boomers. It takes the Zumba
formula and modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of the
active older participant, as well as those just starting their
journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle.
Is
our definition of a full body workout. The cardio is intense and
the body sculpting will target those trouble spots. When these two
components are combined the results are simply amazing. An
excellent class for those looking to get that lean toned summer
body. Beware you will work hard!
Pull
on the gloves and go 12 rounds with your friends. But don’t worry.
No headgear or mouth guards are required. The hand pads will bear
the brunt of your energy as you release your week’s frustrations
the healthy way! With our certified PUNCHTM instructors
you will see the benefits of boxing combinations combined with
cardio
Pick
up the bar and feel the burn of a whole body workout. Technique,
not rhythm is the main focus of this class. We decrease the
repetitions and increase the weights to increase your strength and
core stability. If pump isn’t your thing try this, or alternate
between them!
Low
Impact & Aqua Aerobics
Using
a holistic approach that has been passed down for generations this
is an excellent class to develop core strength, awareness of your
body and flexibility. This class stays true to its heritage while
still constantly evolving providing you with excellent mix of old
and new.
A
Hatha Yoga class delving deeper into the healing & gentle
aspects of the technique. This class is fantastic if you are new to
yoga, the over 50’s, those nursing injuries or even those who just
enjoy the spiritual side. The class concludes with a guided
relaxation to ensure you are fully revived.
Is
45 minutes of low impact aerobics custom designed for the over
50’s. A class typically consists of 30 minutes of cardiovascular
work followed by 15 minutes of toning and stretching.
Our
instructors will take the confusion and intimidation out of the
modern gym with a 45 minute circuit class with a high priority on
safety and technique. Although it’s targeted for the over 50’s it
is also excellent for people with limitations or those new to the
gym.
Lakeside’s
total body stretch & balance class for the over 50’s, it’s
specifically designed to gently restore length and elasticity to
tired and sore muscles. You will leave feeling years younger!
A
Combination aqua class for all ages & fitness levels. Based in
the shallow end of the Olympic pool you will blast your body into
fitness using circuits, aqua weights, noodles & some other
surprises thrown in!
Dive
head in to the deep end where you will get a fantastic cardio
workout using buoyancy belts which means no impact & no
gravity. Intensive & challenging but loads of fun.
Lakesides
Custom made gentle rehab Aqua program for the over 50’s. Great for
rebuilding strength, flexibility & improving posture. But the
best part is the cuppa afterwards at lakeside’s cafe.
